Japan Foundation supports UYD

The Japan Foundation will focus on Japanese Yukata and cosplay while supporting the Lao youth festival Urban Your Dance 2022 (UYD 2022) that will be held in Vientiane this month.
UYD 2022, the big event for teenagers, will be organised at the National Culture Hall in Vientiane during October 22-23.
The festival will have a lot of booths from sponsors, showrooms and an exhibition of products.
The Programme officer for Arts and Culture at the Vientiane Liaison Office of Japan Foundation, Mr Phouthason Luangsouphom, said that the Japan Foundation is one of the sponsors for this year’s cosplay performance.
The Japan Foundation’s booth will display the posters of the movies which will be screened at the 6th Japanese film festival next year. In addition to this, the Japan Foundation will boost the cosplay mood by preparing games and testing the wearing of Japanese Yukata. People can take photos with a beautiful banner.
Visitors can experience the real Japanese atmosphere and have exchanges on Japanese culture with real Japanese people and, at the same time, get more information about the activities of the Japan Foundation. The people win games may get a free Japanese gift.
The Japan Foundation’s booth will be open from 3 pm to 6 pm on 22 October, and from 3 pm to 6.30 pm on October 23.
Mr Phouthason urged the public and youth not to miss the chance to visit UYD 2022 and to enjoy the event while finding out about Japanese culture at the various booths.
